Map the makeup functions

List the application steps you want to cover, such as placing and blending a face product, adding powder and working around the eyes. Match each step to a brush in the combination. Two similar brushes may have distinct roles, or overlap without helping the intended user. Ask what each brush contributes before deciding that the collection is complete.

  • Mark essential functions separately from optional additions.
  • Check whether the count refers to brushes or working ends.
02

Compare scale and handling

A display photograph may not reveal handle length or head size relative to the hand. Request measurements and comparable views, then handle a sample as the customer would. Review balance, access inside the pack and whether the user can distinguish functions without lengthy instructions. These questions are different from a preference for a particular colour or decorative finish.

  • Use one measurement reference across the options.

Turn the choice into a reviewable brief

Select a starting collection and one alternative, then record why you prefer it and what should change in the logo or packaging. The project minimum is 1,000 sets, but do not assume how that quantity can be divided between combinations; confirm this in the quotation. Allow time for sample evaluation before committing the design, and support material or performance claims with appropriate evidence.
