PRODUCT-SPECIFIC DOCUMENTS

Review documents against the exact product, issuing entity, scope, validity and destination. Start with your project’s specific requirements.

01

Separate appearance from performance

Colour, sheen and logo alignment are visual checks. Bristle feel, head security, balance and application are handling checks. Define how each will be reviewed. A photograph does not replace a use assessment or a test appropriate to the intended claim.

02

Build the reference sample record

Record the assortment, count, agreed dimensions, finish, logo and packaging. Date the photographs and attach a version identifier, accepted observations and required changes. An approved sample needs a clear identity; “same as the picture” leaves too much open to interpretation.

03

Agree the inspection before shipment

Agree who inspects, when, against which criteria and how findings are resolved. Ask for records tied to the order and batch rather than generic photographs. If a destination requires a test or certificate, verify its applicability and validity for the actual product with the responsible importer.
